What are the conference dates?

When will the eXtreme Conference app be available for download?

We offer a handy mobile app to help attendees navigate the conference, keep track of sessions, share networking information and so much more! Attendees will receive an email announcing the availability of the app a few weeks prior to the conference.

Registration


What is the cost of the conference?

It depends on when you register. Be sure to register early for the best rate:

April 4 – May 12: $599
May 13 – July 14: $699
July 15 – August 4: $799

Do you offer any discounts?

Discounts are available for government employees, full-time students and professors. A group discount is available for groups of 5 or more.

Can I register for just one day of the conference?

Registration is only available for the full three-day conference.

What is included in registration?

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations received prior to July 14, 2017 will be fully refunded.

Are guests allowed to attend?

Attendees are allowed to bring a guest to the official networking events. Guest entry is $60 per networking event. All guests must be 21 years of age or older.

Attire


What is the recommended attire for the conference?

We want you to be comfortable, so wear anything appropriate that you feel relaxed in. Most attendees wear jeans—and we always love to see folks wearing the conference T-shirt! You are also welcome to stay casual for the evening events.

What is the weather like in Los Angeles during August?

The average high in Los Angeles in August is about 85 degrees with a low of 64 degrees Fahrenheit. The weather can vary and the venue will have plenty of air conditioning to accommodate potentially hot weather.

Transportation and Accommodations


How do I get from the airport to the JW Marriott L.A. Live?

The JW Marriott L.A. LIVE is approximately 17 miles from LAX and 16 miles from BUR. Estimated taxi fare is $50 USD and $60 (one way) respectively. UberX/Lyft fare is approximately $28 USD.

Is there a conference hotel room block?

The eXtreme Conference offers a special rate of $239 per night (plus taxes and fees) through July 24 or until rooms sell out, so book your room(s) as early as possible!

How do I book a room?

Conference attendees can book their hotel room(s) after completing the registration process. You can book your room online.

Where can I park?

The JW Marriott L.A. LIVE offers valet parking for $49 daily. For short term parking at L.A. LIVE, please visit the L.A. LIVE website for more details.

Sessions


Do I need to pre-register for sessions?

Yes, all attendees are required to register for sessions prior to the conference. Although sessions open mid-May, we highly encourage everyone to register at the Early Bird registration rate.

Do I need to provide my own hardware for any hands-on training sessions?

Yes. All hands-on training sessions require you to provide your own laptop or iPad. Don’t forget a mouse and power cord as well!

Do I need any specific software for hands-on training sessions?

For all training sessions, we recommend Revu 2017.

Will there be training materials provided?

Yes, training materials will be emailed to you prior to the conference. These items will need to be downloaded onto your computer before the conference.

Can I receive AIA Learning Units?

Yes! If you would like to receive AIA Learning Units for eligible sessions, please enter your AIA membership number when prompted during registration. You will receive a completion certificate after the conference.

I know you offer AIA learning units, but what if I want to get credit for my company or another organization?

We are happy to provide you with a general attendance certificate stating your completion of sessions you participated in.
