We will illustrate the development of an innovative pilot program that invited industry professionals to teach Bluebeam Revu to students and faculty at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. What began as an informal discussion at Bluebeam eXtreme Conference 2016 about the impact of training conducted by industry professionals using real-world examples quickly evolved into a pilot program designed to boost students’ future employment opportunities by exposing them to the tools and workflows necessary to succeed. Learn how to map Revu training against a construction management curriculum among varying class levels. We will also offer advice for those interested in implementing similar programs, including a roadmap for faculty, industry partners, and student/intern engagement.
